Send network traffic at lower rates

Hello,
i am using a NT20E3-2-PTP-ANL board and the pktgen.exe tool from the bin folder (Win10). I want to send with this tool packets at lower rates ant the tool provides the -r <rate[K|M|G|%]> option to do this. I am just using a cross-connect cable from Port1 to Port2 and on Port2 i develop an application, which captures/receives the frames sent by the pkgtgen tool. When i use the -r option then the program says:

pktgen -p 1 -n 100 -r 10%
pktgen (v. 3.25.2.13-0ebb373f)
============================================================
The port speed cannot be adjusted. -r parameter is not supported on this port.

What is the reason for this?

What are other options to produce a “slower” traffic for a specific time (without program this by my own)? Of course i want to have a 10G Link but e.g. do not want to send the frames “as fast as possible”, rather more i want to control the interframe-gaps/delay-times between the frames somehow.

the profile line in my ntservice.ini file looks like

Profile = None # None* – Capture

but is it possible to use also a Transmit related profile for my NT20E3-2-PTP-ANL board?
